The Centre Spot is a small but very busy takeaway in the main street of Dubbo. They are a lunch shop that sells coffee, rather than a coffee shop that sells lunches. This is a family business that understands that they need a strong social media presence but are too busy to ensure this happens.
In consultation with the owners we pulled together a 2 month program of posts that reflect the quirky personalities of the owners and their main product lines. None of these posts was paid for and consistency - one post per day about the time people woud be making their morning coffee or lunch purchases, paid off with a steady increase of engagement metrics.
From here the program has been further refined as they understood more about what was making their customers engage.
- The most engaging posts were the ones that featured staff members.
- Quirky topic weeks were well received - useless facts for the week, international day of..... for the week, on this day.
- Watching the weekly weather forcast helped to set the tone of successful posts - hotbox posts on cold days, slushy posts on hot days.
