The LiveOutback website and Facebook pages have been developed with a very specific target market and purpose.

Recruitment of skilled labour is a very competitive market in todays' world and consistently, new residents were commenting on how the communities were nowhere like they had been led to believe - isolated, backward, dangerous, lacking services and stinking hot.

These tools target young professionals and their families who have not yet made the decision to move to the Bulloo or Paroo Shires, or have not made the decision to stay.

Content is factual but positive and points to what opportunities, services and activities are available as well as major community events.

The Facebook page is more dynamic, posting links to events in the community and useful information.
