Sixty by Twenty owner, Noni McCarthy has worked with Regional Development Australia - Orana over a period of 6 years as project officer as well as a contractor on a number of projects. Some major projects undertaken were;
Regional Skilled Migration Program
The Regional Skilled Migration Program is an ongoing program managed by RDA Orana for the Orana region of NSW, on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs and NSW Treasury. With a number of years experience in the functioning of this program, Noni was tasked with;
- Systemising the assessment and document management process for Regional Skilled Migration visas and implementing introduction of HubSpot CRM into the business. This systemisation involved moving from a fully manual and paper based system for a significant number of applications per year to a fully online and cloud based system. Major gains have been seen in terms of document management and accuracy, process reliability, reporting capability and timeliness and reduced document storage and destruction costs. Stakeholder management included governing bodies, web developers, CRM companies, migrants, employers and migration agents in addition to internal stakeholder management.
- Policy and Process development for new visa arrangements to be managed on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs and NSW Treasury.
- Training of Migration team members on new processes and technology.
- Oversight and reporting of Job Vacancy data for the Orana region.
Bracing for Change – a project funded by NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and undertaken by Regional Development Australia – Orana
- Development of project outline and plan
- Desktop research to inform the developing plan, liaise with government departments to access raw data for related work, for example NAPLAN results and Census data
- Coordination and execution of 190 employer interviews across the Orana region using SurveyMonkey for data collection
- Analysis of data and development of infographics and table for the major report

Production of a Series of Videos showcasing the Orana region as a place to live and work, from the perspective of both an Australian moving to the region and a migrant moving to the region.

Budget management, content determination, sourcing and co-ordination of talent and media releases, travel management, contractor management, edit approvals and publication.

Content research, coordination of translation and graphic design and online publication.
A booklet showcasing each of the shires in the Orana region with information about employment, healthcare and education for potential residents. The booklet was translated into Korean to be made available to students relocating to the area under an innovative traineeship program.
