The Bulloo Shire logo was developed after extensive community consultation involving surveys, workshops and personal conversations. We needed to uderstand how shire residents felt about their Shire, but also how they wanted to be percieved by visitors.
The general consensus was that people thought the outback was just dust and flies; so the logo was developed to include the rivers and foliage as well as the amazing skies and red dirt.
Elements of the logo are used in brochures, signage, documents and websites in accordance with the style guide that was developed and is still in use.
The "Explore Bulloo" logo is used for their tourism assets and is a reference to the many explorers that have made the region famous - Bourke and Wills etc.
