Bulloo Shire Tourism Projects

Adaptability and flexibility are important when it comes to determining scope of a project. The Bulloo Shire project started out as simply a brochure to sell the merits of a visit to the shire...as we started to develop the scope of works it became obvious that some of the base principles of branding, marketing and design needed to be addressed first to ensure a strong finished product.

Extensive stakeholder engagement resulted in a modern new logo based on the strong colours of the region, reflecting the undulating terrain, the rivers, vegetation, grazing land and iconic sand dunes.

Components of these were then incorporated into the final brochure, website updates and a series of fact sheets for the Visitor Information Centre.

Bulloo Shire Council - Choose your outback experience

Logo Development, photography, text development, brochure design and print management.

A 40 page booklet showcasing the uniqueness of the Bulloo Shire in south western Queensland. The idea behind this was that you didn't need to take the same path as everyone else to have a great outback experience.

Following on from the creation of the logo and design of the brochure in 2014, I was invited back in 2018 to undertake a strategic workshop to focus on forward thinking and planning for the tourism marketing spend for the next few years.

This work has paid dividends, with 2019 visitor numbers reaching their yearly goal by October.
